Motion Mini brings a brand new workflow to your suite of Motion tools. Customize your most-used tools in a compact extension panel. Manage presets, names, icon colors, and more from the Motion Studio application.
Here, view all of your created Minis in a grid layout. On first install, we provide you with a list of default minis you may find useful. You can use them as-is, modify them, or remove them.
The "Active Mini" is the mini that will show up in the "Motion Mini" After Effects panel. You can set the active mini at any time by clicking on the desired mini, and using the "Set as Active Mini" button in the header. Your active mini will also be shown in the "Active" library tab on the left-hand side.
This opens a save dialog where you can export your Mini. The file will be named with the name of the mini.
Minis exported from Motion Studio can then also be imported. This is useful for sharing across workstations and between colleagues with Motion Studio. Imported minis will show in the "Imported" library tab on the left-hand side.
Clicking "Create Mini" will create an empty Mini and bring you to the Mini Builder page:
The title can be changed by clicking the title in the main window, or in the sidebar.
In addition to tools, you can also add individual easings, palettes, and custom color swatches
Once you have tools in your Mini, the tool parameters will be displayed beneath the Mini bar. This is where you can set the default parameters for each tool, that will be applied when the tool is clicked in the Mini Extension panel.
The Mini icons in the top bar, as well as the Mini Parameter blocks can all be dragged to re-order the mini tools.
The sidebar enables you to change the color of the icon for each of your tools:
You can also change the display name of each of the tools, making it easier to keep track of the parameters you selected, or distinguish between different versions of the same tool.
Any and all changes to your mini will be immediately reflected in your After Effects extension:
Clicking the icon or the "Add Tool +" button, will bring up the Tools modal. From here, click any of the tools to add them to your Mini. You can remove any of these tools by hovering the mouse over the tool in the Mini bar, and clicking the trash icon.
